The Journal of Hospital Infection is a peer-reviewed medical journal published by Elsevier on behalf of the Healthcare Infection Society. The journal publishes articles describing original research on epidemiology, healthcare, and antimicrobial resistance.

For clarification the FDA (not the CDC) is the ONLY regulatory agency which authorizes use of Active Ingredients for Hand-Sanitizers. Our Active Ingredient Benzalkonium Chloride is the ONLY Non-Alcohol Active Ingredient authorized for use by the FDA for hand sanitizers.

The Journal of Hospital Infection has recommended Benzalkonium Chloride (our Active Ingredient) in Hand-Sanitizers as “PREFERABLE” and having "SEVERAL ADVANTAGES OVER" Alcohol-Based Hand-Sanitizers given their superior effectiveness, non-toxic, non-hazardous, non-drying, less irritating to the skin and non-flammable benefits, and even further recommends “SWITCHING FROM ALCOHOL TO BENZALKONIUM CHLORIDE”  sanitizers can lead to better hand hygiene. The Journal of Hospital Infection also cites recent U.S. Federal approval by the EPA of Benzalkonium Chloride (QUATS) as the "ONLY" active ingredient in numerous surface disinfectants used in Hospitals, Food Establishments and the General Public and recommends expedited acceptance.
